God shines the moon on Darwin's foolery

Genesis 1:2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God (point of view) was moving over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:3 Then God said, "Let there be light" and there was light. The Theia collision is a proposed event in the early history of the Solar System, in which a Mars-sized planet called Theia collided with the early Earth. The collision is thought to have occurred about 4.5 billion years ago, and is credited with forming the Moon. The Theia collision made Earth's atmosphere less opaque (let there be light). This allowed more sunlight to reach the surface, which was essential for the development of life on Earth.  Recall the point of view of the writer in Gen 1:2 is the holy spirit over the depths on the earth's surface . Genesis 1:11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit (and oxygen ) after their kind

Psalms 90 shaped Moses' understanding of Genesis long (YOM) days

Psalm 90:4 shaped Moses' use of the word YOM in Genesis 1. Psalms 90 was written first as word structures from it are found in Genesis 1&2. The verse says that a thousand years to God are like yesterday, or a watch in the night. This suggests that God's time is not the same as our time, and that a day to God could be much longer than a day to us. Einstein first discovered time relativity which guides the point of view in the universe. In Genesis the point of view is God in his creation not in heaven. If this is the case many view that Moses used the word yom in Genesis 1 in a figuratively literal sense to describe long periods of time, rather than literal 24-hour days. Here are some additional thoughts on the matter: The Hebrew word yom can be used to refer to a literal day, a period of time, or a long age. The context of Genesis 1 suggests that the days of creation are figurative long days. There are passages in the Bible that suggest that God's time is not the same as

"Apperance of age" vs Light Speed

Image
Intro: God tells Job that light has locality. That it has paths and it moves to a final home. There's no indication that God created it in place giving an illusary "mature" appearance. Job 38, "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?.. "Where is the way to the dwelling of light?..That you may take it to its territory And that you may discern the paths to its home? The Speed of light problem for YEC The young-earth creationism appearance of age model is a way of explaining how the universe appears to be billions of years old, even if it was created in a much shorter period of time. Proponents of this model believe that God created the universe with the appearance of age, including light from distant stars that has taken billions of years to reach Earth. There are several problems with this model. First, it requires God to violate the laws of physics. God establishes them as a promise linked to his second coming. Jeremiah 33 Thus says the Lord,

Answers in Genesis says we will never find a forming star as they were all formed mature on Genesis D4.

Google Bard: "The origin of the solar system is a topic that has been debated for centuries. One of the most popular theories is the nebular hypothesis, which states that the solar system formed from a spinning cloud of gas and dust. This cloud collapsed under its own gravity, and as it did, it flattened into a disk. The planets formed from this disk, with the Sun forming at the center. The nebular hypothesis is supported by a number of observations. For example, the planets all orbit the Sun in the same direction, and they all have nearly circular orbits. This suggests that they all formed from a single rotating cloud of gas and dust. However, the nebular hypothesis also has some problems. For example, it is not clear how the initial cloud of gas and dust could have been rotating fast enough to collapse into a disk. Additionally, the nebular hypothesis does not explain why the planets have such different compositions. Another theory of the origin of the solar system is the giant
